Animal Heads Artwork Range

The Animal Heads artwork range is comprised of six pieces. They feature images of different woodland animals’ heads, including Stag, Wolf, Fox, Badger, Owl and Mouse. Look closely and you’ll see that each image is made of tiny interlocking versions of itself!

Owl Head and Mouse Head (Vinohradsky Pivovar, Prague, Czechia)

Animal Heads uses Tessellation Art’s pioneering, mosaic technique. As with traditional square mosaics, hundreds of individually-coloured tiles fit together to create an overall image. The difference is that the tiles are not square, but shaped as animals. The identically-shaped animal tiles interlock and fit together without gaps or overlaps.

When you take a step back, an image of the animal’s head emerges from the mosaic. The ‘Animal Head’ range is comprised of six artworks: Stag Head, Wolf Head, Fox Head, Badger Head, Owl Head and Mouse Head. As with all of my artwork ranges, they are printed onto canvas and are available in different sizes.
